THE MESSENGER is the newsletter of the Chapter; Joyce Gordon is Editor in Chief, Elaine Moon, Associate Editor, Michael T. Moon, Artiest le Creative. (what exactly is that Michael? ~ed)
From the MESSENGER : Our Worthy Matron Joanie Limb writes On November 4, 2006 the new officers for the 2006/2007 term were installed. It was a great evening with just a few minor glitches. I would like to say a big thank you to all of the people who made this evening a success. Especially to Tracie Fielden, PM. Larry Fielden, PP, Allen Record, PP, and Ken Prater, PP who were installing officers. You all mean a great deal to John and I, and we were so happy to have you help in the installation. Thank you to all the officers that were installed. The chapter is lucky to have each and every one of you. I am so happy with the great group of people we have and I look forward to a great year!
Lynds Chapter No 1 OES in National MagazineIn the March issue of the Camp Chase Gazette, a Civil War Re-enacting Magazine, here is an article written by PM Jim Acker, Frontier Lodge #1875 AF&AM North Dakota. In the article he discusses Masons during the Civil War, re-enacting and of the re-enacting the degrees and meetings in the attempt to keep alive the Brotherly love shown during that time frame. There was a large section dedicated to the Civil War Degree held last year at Camp Floyd. Mentioned in the article is Wasatch #1 and Lynds Chapter No 1 Order of Eastern Star for their help, assistance and kindness in providing an excellent repasts after the degree. Thinks me, this is a good thing. Keep up the great work. (I think Michael is very proud as we all should indeed be ~ed)
