| Do
you do trades for custom plushes? |
| No.
|
|
| Can
you share your plush pattern? |
| No.
Every plush has different pattern. I will not make patterns for
anyone. No exceptions. |
|
| How
do I make [insert different part of a plush]? |
| Sorry,
I can't teach you how to make plushes. It's too hard to explain
clearly. |
|
| I
want to buy a plush from your gallery. |
| Sorry.
They are all taken. Either owned by me or other private collectors.
|
|
| Can
you make me a [insert the name of a character in my plush gallery]? |
| I'd
rather not make the EXACT same one. It'd be no fun to make the same
character over and over again. So, perhaps the same character in
different outfit or so. |

| But
I don't have enough cash... |
| Well,
we could work things out. Just send me an email,
and I'll tell you my current schedule. Maybe you might have enough
cash later, when I've finished all my current commissions and able
to start your plush. |
|
| Why
are you charging so much? |
|
Well
well. If you've shopped around for custom plushes a little, you'd
probably notice that my prices are around the medium range. Making
plush seems pretty easy, but in fact, it's very very time consuming
and tedious. Each plush takes me AT LEAST 50 hours to finish.
Most take much longer than that. That is not even including the
time I have to spend to search for the perfect material for a
plush. Making multiple trips to different stores in different
cities. And there's the cost of material. Certainly there are
99 cents per yard fabrics out there, but I don't use those for
my plushes. Suedecloth, crushed velvet, steamed velvet, velour,
fleece are the usual material I work with.
Bottom
line: For the price I charge, the hourly rate of my labour alone
would probably be less than half of the minimum wage.
