Shipping is through Delta Pet First (Cargo). We do not charge a crate fee but
do ask you return the crate to us after receipt of
bird. This helps keep our shipping price lower for you. It is cheaper to send
the crate back to us than it is to purchase the crate.

ABOUT LOVEBIRDS |
|
|
Hand fed and properly socialized lovebirds make exceptional
pets. These little pint sized parrots are inquisitive and full of energy!
A bit more challenging than cockatiels, but still fit in very well with
families w/children. It is a myth that you need to buy 2, in fact, if
you want a lovebird as a companion (pet), you should only buy 1. However,
if you just want lovebirds in your aviary or home to feed, care for and
admire from afar, then please buy 2.
Size: 13-17 cm, they are among the smallest parrots in the world. Life
span: 10-20 years. Lovebirds are from Africa. Some lovebirds can learn
to mimic sounds and speech. They love to chew wood so it is very important
to provide lots of wooden toys. They can also become territorial and may
be prone to nipping. It is also very important to keep your lovebird well
socialized with daily handling and interaction. Lovebirds should be fed
a diet of pellets, fresh veggies and fruits, whole grains, and keep the
seeds at a minimum as treats only. Cuttlebone should be available at all
times. No other powdered or liquid vitamins are needed while fed the proper
diet.
