Howdy!

This is my home on the internet. My name is Mike. I work on network infrastructures for a living, play sports, and I also play the bass. Other titles I go by are dad, husband, son, brother, and more. The site is pretty new, and will change a lot as I think up other cool things to add to it.

Some NEWS............

February 20th.......Last night was another performance in front of a packed house, standing room only. As a band, we played one of our best sets yet. We added a few new songs, and played them live for the first time. Everyone seemed to enjoy the new songs. Kevin Lopez sat in with us for the entire set, and added some nice guitar work. Carlos was his usual amazing self. Greg put on a nice show on the drums, including an excellent mini-solo. I filled the pockets as usual. Last night was my first chance to play my new rig live. The Epifani cab is amazing, and the Fender Jazz sounds great. I was impressed.

Next week, we are playing a private party on Saturday. After that, we will start firming up plans for our next gig at Cutter's Point. Stay tuned............

November 19th......we gathered the band together and played another gig at Cutters Point. Not quite as crowded as usual, but we only had three days notice for the gig. I didn't really expect anyone to show up, but the 30 or so people who did had a great time.

After some skepticism, and early line-up changes, it didn't look like the band was going to make it through the summer. It took a couple weeks to settle on a style of music, but we now have one. Greg and I have always played well together, so the backbone of the band is set. The addition of Carlos to the band is just awesome. He has opened the door for us to play about anything we can think up.

At this point, we will continue to play Cutters Point once a month. All of us are comfortable with the situation just how it is at this point. However, we would welcome other opportunities to play. Just let me know what you have in mind.

Unlike our last band, we are not playing "in your face" rock music. Now you can hear some smooth jazz, and blues. As well as some upbeat tap your toes music to keep you in a good mood. What makes it great is that we are actually making our own music now. Sure, we do some covers of popular songs, but you'll also hear some original music from us. That is very exciting for me.

Do you want a Triple Shot t-shirt or sticker? If so, let me know and I'll get one to you. E-mail me here.

Here is the logo that we decided on. Many thanks to my buddy, and our former drummer, Brandon Lynam for picking the name. He left the band, but the name was so cool we decided to keep it.

3Triple Shot

Why Triple Shot? Well, we are three members. Greg Lopez from my Full On days plays drums. Carlos plays guitar. He splits his time between his other band, and us. Then, you have me. It also helps that we are the house band for a nice coffee house.
