How to get to Mount Vernon Place,
and where to park

Mount Vernon Place is located at Massachusetts Avenue and 9th Street, N.W., across the intersection from the new Convention Center, a short walk from Chinatown and the MCI Center.

How to get there

• Take Metro's Red or Yellow Line to Gallery Place station, 9th & G Streets exit, and walk five blocks north on 9th Street
• Drive via Massachsetts Avenue, N.W. Mount Vernon Place is between Dupont Circle and Union Station
• From Virginia and West End, take K Street east to 9th Street

Where to park

Note that the entrance to Mount Vernon Place is on the north side of the church facing Massachusetts Avenue.

Quite a bit of parking space is available close to Mount Vernon Place. The church has a small parking lot on its south side, off K Street, and there are often spaces on K Street itself.

However, because of one-way and blocked streets, there is only one easy way to get onto that stretch of K Street from the church. Proceed east on Massachusetts Avenue and turn right at 9th Street in front of Mount Vernon Place and then turn immediately right onto K Street. You cannot enter K Street from 10th Street because it's blocked.

There is also a parking lot on Mass Ave directly across the street from Mount Vernon Place.

And valet parking is available next door at the Henley Park Hotel.
