Sedona

Sedona is a 10 week old pit bull/shepherd mix that I picked up on 10/1/05. Sedona came from a bad home where there was a possibility of abuse. Her owners bought her for $35.00 and were selling her for $10.00. The person I got her from paid the $10.00 and asked for my help. After bringing Sedona home I felt that she needed more one on one attention than I could provide. She was dominant and slightly food aggressive. She was nervous and unresponsive to people, but desperate for my dogs' attention. She ignored my cats. Due to her age and breed mix I wanted to get her with someone that could work with her immediately. I took Sedona to the vet for a check up and to start her vaccinations. A vet tech at my vet office liked Sedona and has experience with dominant dogs. I took Sedona to her new home with the vet tech on 10/2/05.

UPDATE: 11/6/05
Sedona's new name is Zelda and she is doing extremely well in her new home. She's learning new tricks and enjoys being around people. She is learning to behave and listen to commands and loves playing with the male pit bull/shepherd mix that lives in the home.

UPDATE: 11/12/05
What a scare. I called Zelda's new owner about a week ago to see how she was doing. She told me that Zelda got parvo from being at the vet office when an infected dog came in. She was lucky and she fully recovered. We visited Zelda in her new home and she's doing great. She has a very handsome playmate named Buddy and she's learning all kinds of new tricks. Here are some photos we took during our visit.
