DEAN'S MESSAGE

First of all, Kudos to those who took part in our Member's Recital in June. The program was a nice variety with excellent playing by all and it was wonderful to be able to use the 3-manual Balcom & Vaughn Organ at Summit Avenue Presbyterian.   Members taking part were Chris Barnett with Dave Smith on Trumpet, Mary Conte, Peggy Maurer, Paul Roy and Raleigh McVicker.  It was good to meet and hear Len Guyt, the organist of Summit Avenue Presbyterian Church as well.  Thank you performers!  We had 78 in attendance and the refreshments coordinated by member Miriam Haddon were enjoyed by all.

Last month on July 9th the Board members met and the Board will remain the same for the coming year.  Thank you everyone for continuing on!  Programs for the coming year were discussed and chairpersons elected to arrange each event. We do hope you will do your part and make every effort to attend the programs, which take quite a bit of time and effort to coordinate.  We enjoy seeing you all and catching up on what's new in your life.  Please remember now is the time to renew your dues and the Dues and categories are listed on the back of the newsletter.  I hope you are all having a pleasant summer and enjoying the good weather.  See you in September.

Isabel Copeland
