Cayenne is a spice. Like his
dad, Chile, and his mom, Picante, he has become the a
wonderful spice in our lives.
Cayenne answers to 'yo Cy'... Cayenne thrives on competition and training in obedience, hunting and agility. Cayenne made his debute in Master hunting level in early December of '97 and qualified his first two times out. What a great thrill! He completed his MH in March 1998. Cayenne earned 4 titles in 1997; two in the field and two in agility. In 1998, Cayenne earned 5 titles and completed the requirements for the Versatility Certificate.
Cayenne began his show career with a bang! We went to Arizona and came home with seven points toward his championship, including two 3 point majors at 7 1/2 months old. Cayenne won a Best of Breed over specials in Albuquerque, New Mexico and finished his championship at 9 months of age in California with a 5 point major, always owner/breeder trained, shown and handled.
Cayenne made his obedience debut in the United Kennel Club arena. We went to Arizona and came home with two nice scores in Novice B. Cayenne completed his U-C.D. with a score of 198 and first place in February 1998. U.K.C. is a great starting point for a dog that I choose to be competitive within A.K.C. Cayenne started and finished his C.D. in Arizona over a four day show with 4 passes and 4 placements earning a Dog World Award in the process.
Cayenne earned his Companion Dog Excellent title in three straight shows with scores of 198, 195.5 and 196, all first places, earning his 2nd Dog World Award. Cayenne also earned an insurance leg with a score of 196 and another first place.
