"SANDIA"
U-C.D. Ch. Poquito's Chile Sandia Verde C.D.X., T.D., A.X., A.X.J.
A.K.C. Canine Good Citizen Certificate
(OFA VZ-4910G25F)
Owners: Melissa O. Thomas and Maria Zucconi

Sire: Ch. Sandyacre Poquito Chile Bean U.D.X.,M.H.,M.X.,V.C., R.O.M.
Dam: Ch. Surfstone Poquito Picante U.D., S.H., A.X., V.C., R.O.M.
SANDIA VERDE means "watermelon" or "hot green chile" in Spanish, and Sandia is the best of both! Sandia was trained and handled by Melissa to her championship earning three majors, four Best of Opposite Sexes and three Best of Breeds. Sandia finished at the Chili Bowl Cluster at 14 months old with a Best of Breed!
Sandia is the only girl at our house. Sandia has incredible drive and spunk, and at times can outsmart herself. Agility has provided a venue for her to be able to run full tilt, and I love the look of exhilaration on her face as she cruises a course at mach speed. Obedience is as much fun, although she can sometimes be a tad creative! I have trained Sandia through Utility. We made our Novice debut at the VCA Nationals in '97- placing 4th. Maria showed Sandia the day she earned her 3rd leg, and it was a wonderful performance! Sandia earned High in Trial with a 197.5! Sandia and Maria teamed up at the Rio Salado Specialty in Jan. of '98 and earned a second High in Trial with a 196. While earning her agility and obedience titles, Sandia has always been in the placements!
Sandia's feminine touch is welcomed in our home. Both Cooper and Amigo, find that her constant upstaging provides a new competitive edge! Sandia and I will be working in the field and in obedience and showing later in the Spring.
