I watched this novice handler work with his young vizsla through his championship and then in agility and hunting tests. I thought the dog was good looking , smart and forgiving of the novice handler’s mistakes. When I found out that there would be a repeat breeding, I couldn’t wait to get one of the puppies. And since the novice handler, Randy Edwards owner of "Rio", was learning the ways of the conformation ring and seeming to enjoy it, I asked him if he would handle this pup I did not yet have.

Oh how hard we worked to come up with a name for the little girl. Although we started with a call name "Season" (like the spice Chile), as I got to know her I didn’t feel it fit. And although my family will still refer to her by that name, the name Si Si (as in YES YES) seemed more fitting. Si Si is so happy and up. She is a dynamic bitch who is very intense and focused. She loves to work and will whine and carry on if she has to wait her turn. She enjoys meeting and greeting. She seems to say "YES YES" "Look at ME" "Aren’t I wonderful?" "YES YES" "Well WHAT are we waiting for?"

At home Si Si is the Princess, very regal, looking over her domain from the steps of the center hall stairs. She plays and plays with her housemates: Jeremy (teenage humanoid), the Vizsla Tello and another Poquito puppy, 2K. And when she’s not racing around the pool deck as doggy lifeguard, she will swim to herd them out of the water.

I am so spoiled by my Si Si , as she likes everything we do. We are doing obedience, agility, hunting, tracking, conformation and soon to start free-style. She is a demo dog for my obedience classes. Although we don’t Special her very often, you will probably find her SPECIAL Randy Edwards at the other end of the lead. Si Si will be bred late 2001.

Si Si will take time out Fall 2001 for a planned litter of puppies. We would like to invite you to visit Si Si's Diary of A Litter. Click on the link listed below.
