CST/CAT6/STS Testing Schedule Standardized testing begins April 29th, and lasts 2-3 weeks, depending upon the grade. Below is the schedule for the 1st week of testing. The rest of the testing dates will be posted soon.
TRACKS of the Cat Newsletter The March issue of Portola's TRACKS of the Cat newsletter is now available in English and Spanish. TRACKS of the Cat Newsletter The January issue of Portola's TRACKS of the Cat newsletter is now available in English and Spanish. Livermore American Indian Center The Livermore American Indian Center, part of the Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin and Sunol Glen School districts, is enrolling new students of American Indian heritage as part of their grant application which is due the end of January, 2008. In an effort to expand this program and offer free services to students, the American Indian Center is taking new student applications. Free services for qualifiying students include tutoring, culture classes, field trips, scholarships, and more. Students, age 4 and older, even with limited American Indian heritage (depending on the tribe), can sign up with the American Indian Center. If you have questions about enrollment requirements or qualifications, please call the Livermore American Indian Center at (925) 606-3405 or email Mary Puthoff at mputhoff@livermore.k12.ca.us. Mary Puthoff Orchestra and Band concerts to be held in January Portola's orchestra will be performing at the Winter Orchestra Concert on January 28th at Junction Avenue Middle School. The following night, January 29th, Portola's band will be performing at the Winter Band Concert, also at 7:30 at Junction. Look for more information from your student's music teacher. Family Science Night Family Science Night will be held on January 16th from 6:00-7:30. This is always a fun event for kids and parents! District Calendar The District calendar is available. This version of the calendar shows a change in the May Staff Development day from May 9 to May 16. School Site Council Meeting: September 25th The next School Site Council (SSC) meeting will be held on September 25th from 3:30p.m. to 5:00p.m. in the Library. Picture Day: October 2 Portola's picture day will be held on Tuesday, October 2nd. Next PTA Meeting: October 10th The next PTA meeting will be held Wednesday, October 10th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Library. Join us and find out how you can make a difference in your child's school experience. Gates Open During Beginning and End of School Day The gates at the back of the field on Junction and the west end of the kinder building will be open 7:30-8:45am and 2:30-3:00pm. Otherwise entry is through the front of the school, checking in at the office. |
