Bartel Grassland is bound on the north by Flossmoor Road, on the east by Central Avenue, on the south by Vollmer Road, and on the west by Ridgeland Avenue.  There is parking available near the model airplane flying area just north of Flossmoor Road and west of Central Avenue, and at the corner of Flossmoor Road and Central Avenue, on the grass.
 

If you would like to donate to the Memorial Fund to purchase a bench in Joe's honor for Orland Grassland and Bartel Grassland, checks are being accepted made payable to "Thorn Creek Audubon Society".   Envelopes will be provided at the Memorial with the address:
