Congratulation to the purchase of your purebred companion dog! This statement will outline the purpose / future of your new dog. It will explain in detail what is expected of the breeder and buyer after the sale is complete.
General: It is understood, that the above named dog was sold by Sabine Salo (herein referred to as the breeder), for companion purpose only. The dog is not to be used for breeding and will be spayed/neutered not before the age of 6 (six) months and no later than 1 (one) year old. A signed veterinary statement will be provided by the new owner (herein referred to as the purchaser or buyer), to the breeder upon spay or neuter of said dog. Under no circumstance will the dog be bred. The dog shall not be shown in conformation events. The dog may compete in obedience, racing and coursing events etc, or in any event that allows altered dogs if so desired. If the dog is a puppy a limited AKC registration was given to reflect the status of the dog as a companion dog and not a breeding animal. If the dog is an adult the AKC registration papers will be held by the breeder until the dog is spayed or neutered. The purchaser will provide proof of spay/neuter in the form of a vet bill or vet statement, at which time the breeder will forward the dogs AKC papers to the buyer.
Health and care of the pup: The breeder guarantees a healthy pup at the time of purchase. Our breeding animals are screened for hereditary eye and heart problems. Should the pup be diagnosed with a hereditary defect of the heart or eyes within the first year of his / her live, the breeder will replace the pup, with a new pup depending on availability. Should there be no pup available within one year of the original dog’s return a full refund may be given by the breeder. Any other claims of health problems (not do to hereditary health problems or the purchasers neglect or abuse), must be made within three (3) days of purchase. The buyer is advised to have the pup examined by a licensed Veterinarian within the first three (3) days of purchase, in order to preserve any return policies made in this contract. Should the pup be found to have any such health problems within the three (3) days, the dog may be returned to the breeder, accompanied be a signed statement from a veterinarian. The breeder may give a full refund for the original purchase price of the pup, or replace the dog (provided there is a pup available). Under no circumstance will the breeder be responsible for the costs (veterinary or otherwise) incurred while the pup was in the care of the purchaser. At no time and under no circumstance will the breeder be responsible for more monies than the original purchase price. After the three (3) day period no full refund will be given by the breeder. For other reasons of return, see return policies below. The buyer agrees to continue with the vaccination schedule provided by the breeder. The breeder will supply a separate form of more detailed health care for the pup. The purchaser also agrees to provide suitable care for the health of the pup, physical or mental (dental care, grooming, socializing, training, safety, exercise etc). It is also agreed that only a good quality brand food appropriate for the age of the dog will be fed. Under no circumstances will the dog be kept as an outside dog; meaning the dog should always have access to indoor facilities. The dog is to be kept as a loving member of the family and is to live with the family indoors. It is understood that the breeder will be notified before euthanasia of the pup. The breeder has to give approval to go forward with such an act. In the event of an emergency and the dog is suffering, no permission from the breeder is necessary, but a signed copy of the veterinary report will be sent to the breeder. The breeder will be notified of the death of the dog no matter what the situation may be.
Return policies: Should you not be able to keep the above named dog in the future, it will be returned to the breeder at the buyer’s expense. Under no circumstances will the dog be abandoned or turned over to a shelter, pound or rescue organization etc. Should the dog ever be recovered from a shelter or rescue group etc, by the breeder or her authorized agent, the owners signed below will lose all owner rights of the dog. In this event the dog will become the property of the breeder. The dog will not be returned to the undersigned new owner without valid proof of no fault. Should the dog be returned to the breeder for any reason, it will be returned with his / her original AKC registration papers, which will be made to reflect the change in ownership back to the breeder. In the event that the dog will be returned for personal problems within the first two (2) months after the purchase, the breeder may refund 50 % of the original purchase price, provided the pup is in good condition and healthy. Monies for advertising to resell the pup or to treat any illness / food etc shall be deducted from the refund. After the period of two (2) months from the date of sale, no refund will be given. Upon return of the dog to the breeder, the dog may be kept by the breeder or resold. However if the buyer is in good standing with the breeder and has not breached any part of this contract; monies from the resale of the dog may be forwarded to the original buyer, minus cost for advertising and care for the dog incurred by the breeder, at the discretion of the breeder.
Legal questions / breech of contract: Should there be any breach of contract, the dog will automatically become the property of and will be returned to the breeder at the buyers expense. In such an event the breeder has the right to seize the dog without the presence or permission of the purchaser, police or other authorities. In this event, there will be no refund of the original purchase price or any other monies. If the need arises to settle a case in court about the above named dog; the buyer will be responsible for all court and attorney costs incurred by the breeder and the buyer. This is a legal contract and all parties have read, understood and agreed to all terms and conditions. Any changes to this contract will have to be approved in writing by the breeder or her authorized agent and signed by all parties, including the purchaser of the above named dog. All parties signed below will receive a copy of this contract.

Congratulation to the purchase of your purebred competition dog! This statement will outline the purpose / future of your new dog. It will explain in detail what is expected of the breeder and buyer after the sale is complete.
Show / performance: It is understood, that the above named dog was sold by Sabine Salo (herein referred to as the breeder), for competition purpose. It is guaranteed that the dog has no disqualifying faults. The pup is deemed show quality at the time of sale and every effort should be made to secure the AKC champion title. The new owner (herein referred to as the purchaser or buyer) is expected to show the dog to the best of his / her ability in AKC confirmation events and shall complete the dogs AKC championship, with no expense to the breeder. The dog will be co owned by the breeder and the buyer for the life of the dog. Under no circumstance will the dog be bred before his AKC championship is secured. Neither will the dog be spayed or neutered. Written permission to breed or alter the above named dog will have to be obtained from the breeder. A full registration was given for the purpose of showing the dog in AKC confirmation events. They dog may also participate in coursing, racing, obedience or any other competitive event desired by the buyer. In the future for any reason shall the dog be deemed by the buyer or breeder as not able to finish his / her championship; the dog will not be sold by the buyer and will be returned to the breeder at the buyer’s expense. It is agreed upon between buyer and breeder that the dog will be replaced with a new puppy pending availability and will be shipped (if necessary) at the buyers expense. If no pup is available within one year after the return of the original pup, a full or partial refund may be given at the breeder’s discretion depending on the dogs age and condition. If the dog has multiple owners the breeder will be kept informed about the dogs place of residence and currant handler.
