TRAVEL LINKS WORTH VISITING:

Yellowstone Net Superb photography by Russ Finley, an essential newsletter for anyone who cares about the Park, Quicktime movies of geysers erupting, a great discussion forum, and it includes a link to the Old Faithful Web Cam. Watch for bison walking past the geyser!
Yellowstone Treasures The Web site companion to the book by the same name. Undoubtedly the single best resource on Yellowstone; it amazingly combines the basic tourist information with in-depth profiles on geology, wildlife, plant life, Park history and more. A must-read if you're going to Yellowstone, even if you'll only be there for a day.
Of course I am a geyser geek... so I recommend GOSA, the Geyser Observation and Study Association. GOSA
The National Park Service
Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park In Colorado--one of the Nation's newest National Parks. Spectacular and uncrowded. It's a particular favorite of mine.
US Forest Service Site--National Forests by State
The Great Outdoor Recreation Pages (GORP)  Good info if you can ignore the millions of ads.
Pickatrail An excellent backpacking resource for the U.S. and United Kingdom, the site also offers informative articles on GPS mapping, using a compass and more--and it's commercial free.
Falcon Guides  These books, including the "Scenic Driving" series and "Hiking" series, are essentials for detailed information about what you can see and do from the road or on your feet, along with critical information like how to survive a bear encounter or ford a stream.
