Improvisation Master Class for Actors at CCftA

Cotuit, MA, Sept. 24, 2008 — An improvisation master class for actors with Boston's Improv Asylum will be offered on Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 3:00 pm. to 5:00 pm at Cotuit Center for the Arts  located at 4404 Rte. 28 in Cotuit. Improv Asylum will lead participants through an engaging, interactive session focusing on the skills of improvisation.  Participants will examine how to work off of each others' ideas to build bigger and better ideas and scenes on the spot.  Ultimately you will learn the basics of improvisation and how it applies to acting and creating instant scenework.  All of this is done in a laid-back, humorous fashion. You learn by doing and have fun doing it, but you also leave with new, creative ways of thinking about improvisation and acting.   The cost is $25 per person which includes free admission to the 8:00 pm Improv Asylum performance at CCftA that evening.  To register, please call the arts center at 508-428-0669.
