Rob's Random thought House

This website serves four functions:

  1. I wanted a place to experiment with client side web technologies such as AJaX or CSS,
  2. Web site design is a fun creative outlet,
  3. We wanted a family vanity site where we could share pictures,
  4. I wanted a central location on the web to syndicate my contect from Faves, Flickr, Pandora, and YouTube.

Really the site serves a fifth function: my obsessive compulsion to generate more visitors to my site.

To that end I’ve added stuff about my 3D animation and writing video game hobbies as well as a discussion of a few construction projects. These topics have generated the bulk of the traffic to this site. I use Google Analytics to keep track of visitors and where they go on this site. Why do I care? I guess because it can be measured and whenever I get a number I start to optimize...it's an alpha geek thing.

I frequently change the site design and add new content so be sure to come back and visit. You’ll see neat new stuff... the alpha geek in me will be pleased since your visit will improve my analytics...which will cause me to add more neat new stuff. It’s a virtuous cycle.
