Introduction
My name is Rob Slater.   Welcome to my Master's Electronic Portfolio.
I am a teacher and writer living in Bellingham, Washington with my wife, Tonja, a Nursing Home Administrator.  It's a beautiful place to live if you can stand the rain. ;-)
I currently teach English, Shop, Tech Hardware, and anything else we need at Clearview, an alternative high school in Ferndale, WA near the Canadian border.  I have been involved with computers since the Apple ][ and the Timex-Sinclair 1000.  I built a lab out of donated PCs at my school.  We are primarily an Apple district.
I have a should’ve-been-a doctorate B.A. in Theatre/Education with minors in Spanish and History and an English endorsement.
In my spare time ;-) I write.  I have sold short stories and poetry published in small-press and e-zines, and had plays produced in local theatres. I play guitar, brew beer and mead, cook, read, and sing.  Other activities include Tai Chi and Tae Kwon Do.  I have six children, ages 8 months to 19 years.  I have adopted Robert A. Heinlein’s “Specialization is for Insects” as my motto.
My favorite website is http://www.imdb.com and my own website is http://sff.net/people/robert-slater.
