McGIVNEY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND - Bishop McNamara Council #1622 in Frederick MD established in 1999 a donor-advised endowment for Catholic education in Frederick County with the Community Foundation of Frederick County (CFFC). McGiveny Fund currently provides a $1000 annual scholarship to students selected by St. John's Literary Institute at Prospect Hall. In 2005, we're planning an additional $1000 in scholarships to catholic schools in Frederick County. As the fund increases in size, it will be expanded to provide additional scholarships. George Memorial Scholarship Endowment was established in 1999 by Brother Thomas F. George of Bishop McNamara Council in his father's memory. The endowment is for Catholic education in Frederick County with the Community Foundation of Frederick County (CFFC). It currently provides a $500 annual scholarship to a student selected by St. John's Literary Institute at Prospect Hall. Updated Dec 2004
