Personal Computer Training and Tutoring

Though I've worked with computers my whole life, professionally for over five years, I can never understand why anything related to computers is always more complicated than it needs to be. Some call it job security, keeping the common man at a distance so we computer folk can keep driving nice cars, some call it a lack of technological savvy... Who knows? It's frustrating to understand the complexities of software, especially when things change so rapidly from day to day, and most of us just don't have the time or desire to spend hours weeding through poorly written manuals that seem to explain everything except why.

As a result I understand that there is a need for a service to help those who would love to learn more about basic computer skills but need a little guidance, and most of all, clear explanations without all the techno-speak. To assist, I have been offering in-home instruction of basic home and small business computer skills to individuals. I specialize in taking the fears and confusions and turning them into understanding of the PC system, not just showing which buttons to click and then leaving you more confused than you were before, but by explaining the how's and whys so you understand what you're doing, even after I leave. I am patient, I have nothing to 'sell' and I don't get into 'fixing' (or breaking) PC's - as this is best left for your Warrantee Providers. I'm not just teaching from a book, I sit down, find out what you need to learn, do my homework, and do my best to transfer the necessary skills in a clear and down to earth fashion. Using analogies, I try to relate your system to the real world with examples you can easily remember, so once I'm gone you can begin to think and understand the PC mechanisms for yourself.

The costs (Seacoast Local): a flat rate of $30 per hour, $20 for seniors - I come to you. Feel free to email me any general questions and I'll be glad to reply, or call 603.799.2198
