Vermont, though mechanical having nothing at all to do with the Seacoast of New England, is close enough in character and charm to be included in my recollections and images. I like to think of it as the Seacoast - upstate. Vermont provides idyllic farmhouse charms and diversions, incredible skiing, and endless opportunities for long scenic drives.
In comparison to the other New England states, Vermont prides itself more on farming than industry, family-owned farms scattered across the state producing Maple Syrup, Ice Creams and Cheeses, and Produce in general..

A friend, Nora, at a llama farm adjacent to the Millbrook Inn in Waitsfield for an awesome in-house chef made meal and a nice visit to the llamas above. ..
As for skiing: Mad River Glen is the only true skier's mountain in the East. Vermont also ski Stratton, Stowe, Sugarbush, Jay Peak, (the list goes on and on...)
