Driving Directions

Coming from the west on U.S. 2, the road into the parking lot is on the right, just before (just west of) the top of the pass.  If you see a sign that says “Stevens Pass, elev., 4061 ft,” you’ve gone too far.  Just off the highway is a locked gate.  On the first Saturday we will have someone at the gate to let you in from 4:00 to 4:10 p.m., 5:00 to 5:10 p.m., and 6:00 to 6:10 p.m. If you expect to arrive at another time, please contact Sheridan.

Drive to the end of the parking lot and go around the hairpin turn to reach the upper level parking lot.  The east end of the upper level lot is where you will park your car after unloading.

To drive to the lodge for your initial unloading, look for a steep service road leading up the bank at the far east end of this parking lot.  Drive up the short steep bank of that service road and turn right at the top.  Continue on the service road past the (Penguins Ski Club) lodge on the left, and in about 500 feet, you will come to a sharp left turn in the road.  The reddish brown four-story building at the bend is the Mountaineers lodge.  Look for the Mountaineers sign on the building.

After unloading your gear, please move your car to the upper level parking lot.
