The zigzag motion of this quilt puts me in mind of the test patterns we watched as children on
Saturday mornings while we waited for the cartoons to begin. That eerie tone, those black-and white designs, and the anticipation
of the upcoming animated delights may have been the start of my appreciation for color: dreaming of the possibilities beyond gray
scale!
