Buses in the Backyard
Saturday afternoon, after the Shoreline Vintage VW show Susan and Zapper and Cris and his 66 Westie arrived for an overnite campout in our backyard. We are just a few short miles from Pacific Raceway which was hosting The Northwest VW Club's Original Northwest BugInXXX on Sunday. So we put some ribs on the grill and Margaritas in the blender and kicked back to enjoy the shade of the backyard and the company of good friends.
First thing up for Cris was an oil change since he had "borrowed" the engine from Susan for the weekend. But just in case there
might be additional traffic in the backyard he wanted to be sure he would be visible.

As you can see, Cris had a "few" extra parts that needed to be moved first.
Naturally we put the best inspectors on the job to make sure he did it correctly.

Next up, Susan had to make the event "official".

Then it was down to some serious Margaritas while cleaning oil from the
engine compartment (I'll let Susan explain....)

Of course, our bus was pretty lonely out in the drive so it had to join the party.

Sometime, long after we ran out of ribs and Margaritas somebody had the great idea to turn on all the
interior bus lights for some more photos.

Sunday Morning.
