The Cost of The Capture of Saddam Hussein:
Over 90 Billion US Dollars
10,000 Iraqi civilians killed
542 Coalition forces killed
2610 US troops wounded
This is because Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and caused the death of a few thousand of his countrymen. Obviously George W. Bush feels that all the lives he destroyed is worth capturing Saddam. I guess revenge is sweet if you are an evil person like George W. Bush.

The number of Afghan civilian impact deaths (from bombs) is estimated to be 3,600. But Osama bin Laden is yet to be caught and al Qaeda is stronger than ever.  So counting the attack on Sept. 11 Bush is responsible for over 16,000 innocent lives in less than 3 years.

"Many of these politicians have put exclamation marks where we put question marks." -- Former Chief UN Weapons Inspector Hans Blix.

It's really amazing. In a little over 2 years, the administration has pursued disastrous economic and environmental policies that can only be described as rape-and-pillage, they have started an unjust war based on a passel of lies, they ignored warnings of the terrorist threat that led to 3000 dead on 9/11, and they have antagonized most of the rest of the world. The reward for this fumbling, bumbling, stumbling lunacy is that the media, and apparently a majority of the American public, are enthralled with the greatness of W.  We are truly through the looking glass. --Cary Zeitlin from: Media Whores Online

Today the world faces a single man armed with weapons of mass destruction, manifesting an aggressive, bullying attitude, who may well plunge the world into chaos and bloodshed if he miscalculates. This person, belligerent, arrogant and sure of himself, truly is the most dangerous person on Earth. The problem is that his name is George W. Bush, and he is our president. --Jack M. Balkin, Knight Professor of Constitutional Law and the First Amendment at Yale Law School. September 22, 2002

What distinguishes the New Right from other American reactionary movements and what it shares with the early phase of German fascism, is its incorporation of conservative impulses into a system of representation consisting largely of media techniques and media images. --Philip Bishop: The New Right and the Media

If you are paid a living wage, have a safe work place, have access to health benefits; if your children go to public school; if the air you breath and the water you drink is not poison; and if you or your parents are eligible for Social Security and Medicare, you have Liberals and Moderates to thank. If you live next to a poisonous landfill and see little hope of escape, or recently had your Canadian drug lifeline cut off and got saddled by Congress with a Medicare-killing embarrassment of a prescription drug plan, you can thank some not-so-compassionate Conservatives. What Al Gore really said in 1999: ''I took the initiative in creating the Internet.'' He did not say he invented the Internet as republicans claim.  Thank you, Al Gore, for the internet.
