Welcome to the Shuttle Blue Sun webpage. The Shuttle Blue Sun, Registry NCC-1838, is located in Killen, Alabama, and meets at 3 PM on the second Sunday of each month at Fox's Pizza Den. Fox's Pizza Den is located on Highway 72, just east of Florence, 1/2 mile from Shoals Creek Bridge. We are sponsored by our flagship, Dark Silence Station, in Florence.
The Shuttle Blue Sun is a new chapter in Northern Alabama, a member of Region Two, Zone 3, of STARFLEET International. Reion two is comprised of five zones (states), Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and the Carribbean (obviously not a state). We are a science fiction fan club, based in the realm of Star Trek. The club also has interests in the realm of fantasy, anime, historical weaponry, and astronomy. We also participate in local charitable causes and hold fundraisers annually.
The USS Blue Sun is a non-profit organization of STARFLEET International. We were launched on March 4, 2006. We interact as a group with Dark Silence Station by attending each others meetings, 'Friday Night with Doctor Who', and other types of 'away missions' to local events, such as the Alabama & Tennessee Renaissance Faires. Our current charity is The National Kidney Foundation.
