10./FJR 1 is a living history
group located in the Midwestern United States which portray German
Fallschirmjägers during World War 2. The unit is composed of members from
Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Indiana, Nebraska and Iowa. The members of 10./FJR1
strive to keep the spirit of the elite Fallschirmjäger alive by focusing our
efforts on being as accurate as possible. This begins with wearing the
correct uniforms and equipment, and includes performing correct WWII German
military drill with German commands and simulated combat encounters.
The members of our group come from many different backgrounds, from active
military personnel, educators and professionals, to modelers and militaria collectors. |
