Julie
grew up in a close family with two brothers in New England whom
we visit regularly.. It was her adventurous outdoor spirit, as well as her
enjoyment of life and sense of humor, that drew us together. When we met she
was about to take a trip to Africa with her brother to meet up with friends and learn
about the people there. Two years later she was cycling across America, raising money for organizations that would help
communities to improve their own lives. When she is not singing with one of her
choirs, she is dancing, singing, or playing instruments with Heather. Athough she has had quite a few adventures in
her life, Julie has remarked that the most amazing adventure of her life has
been the birth and subsequent raising of our daughter. You will often see her being “silly” with
Heather, and it’s often difficult to know who is having more fun, Julie or
Heather. Her love, compassion and concern for her friends and family also
extends to her love of nursing, working part time at a local hospital helping
to relieve pain and suffering for people with serious illness.
