1.
Do you have to be a Trailblazer member to participate?
No,
but if you are it will save you $5 for each Trailblazer member.
2. I don't
know if friends will join me, can I go Solo?
No,
but the Trailblazers Message Board has a "Get
Connected" section for finding teammates.
3. Maps/Materials/Food,
what does that entail?
Maps
is self-explanitory. Food we had last year but ran out, not
this time. As for materials, the passports will be waterproof
paper and maybe a "special test".
4. I'm
a beginner, is 9hrs too long for me?
In
'rogaine' type race, you can stop anytime. You will still
be ranked: First by the number of CPs you found, then by your
time. It's a perfect introduction to the sport.
5. I get
lost easy, and don't know how to plot UTM's. Whatever shall
I do?
The
Trailblazers monthly meeting on 2/7/06 will be about navigation.
Also, members will be on hand to help with plotting.
6. Isn't
the Odyssey Extreme the same day?
Yes,
but this event was scheduled first and is about $300 cheaper
not counting travel.
7. Ron,
you are dead sexy! How do I get with that?
Farmer,
stop emailing me! Go do the Odyssey instead.
8. Does
my team need a Support Person?
No.
9. What
are your events like?
Misplaced
checkpoints are my pet peeve, so I try to make sure each CP
is "balls on accurate". Ask anyone who has done
this event the last two years or check the Trailblazers Message
Board -
10. Will
there be any "Special Tests"?
We
will neither confirm, nor deny.
