This 2.4 mile section of the M-M Trail starts at Rising Corner in Suffield, CT and follows the Provin Mountain ridge line until it reaches Route 57 in Agawam. From Rising Corner, the intersection of South Longyard Road, Barry Street and North Stone Street in Suffield, CT, go northwest on South Longyard Road into Agawam, MA then Southwick, MA. The M-M trail turns into an open field just before the next intersection. Follow the edge of the field northeast then north. The trail then turns sharply right into a swampy area. You cross the wetland on wooden planks and a slow moving stream on a wooden bridge. Once across, the trail climbs 130 feet, through stately hemlocks, to the top of a ridge. Continue north on a footpath for one mile, passing stone walls on your left, until you reach the Tennessee Gas Pipeline. Here there are views to the west. After crossing the buried pipeline the trail becomes a wide jeep track. It descends, turns right, and crosses a stream. It now goes uphill to an intersection where you make a left onto another wide jeep track. Continue north through the Agawam Bowmen's archery range and emerge on a driveway just below Route 57 in Agawam.
