Melanie (Capriotti) Druziako grew up in East Vineland. She has an older sister and younger brother. She attended St. Mary's Grammer School and Sacred Heart High School where she graduated #4 in her class (behind Ken's wife who was #1). She attended Villanova University where she received her BS in Nursing. Melanie lived in center city Philadelphia for 12 yrs, employed as an oncology Nurse at Jefferson; agency nurse at numerous facilities and Administrator at Graduate Hospital. She then joined the famiy business, Capri Construction, a local General Contractor. One of her first Rotary meetings, she had the pleasure of meeting Hugh McCaffrey, who she spoke to many times while she was working in construction and never met until Rotary.
Melanie met her husband, Victor, on a blind date, and immediately fell in love. They have been married 20+ years and have 2 daughters. Victoria, a sophmore at VHS, is involved in many activites which includes the upcoming Cap'N Dagger play (Melanie will gladly sell you tickets). Stephanie is a 7th grade student at St. Mary's and is very artistic, designing and making her own dress.
Melanie has been a volunteer for many organizations over the years.
She currently is co-owner of the "Blue Book", an independent telephone directory for Cumberland and Salem County. Melanie oversees the day to day operations and her partner is involved in sales. The Blue Book ads cost 50-70% less than other phone books. 85,000 copies were distributed in our area. They offer free full color ads and graphic desgin.
