Ken Riley from the Bridgeton Club and Mike Bolicki from the Ocean City/Upper Twp. Club visited today.
Joe O'Rourke was the guest of Lou Tramontana. Eileen Duffy was the guest of Ed Duffy. JD Loyle was the guest of dad, Mike Loyle.

Announcements

P. Mike said the French GSE team arrived home safely. He said they were especially happy with the Vineland club.
He also announced the Susan Novack 5K Walk for Pancreatic Cancer. Sign up sheets and information was again found on the tables.

Carol Captis again circulated the sign-up sheet for the upcoming Vineland Rotary Installation Dinner next week on Thursday, on June 28th. There is no meeting on Tuesday, June 26th because we will have our installation dinner the following Thursday, June 28th at the Running Deer Country Club.

Ted Lane announced the Smoke Out. It was held on Wednesday and was well attended and successful.

Today marked P. Mike’s last meeting as Vineland Rotary President. He said “it is enjoyable but not sad”…….

Finemaster

FM Bill was in fine form, and fined Charlie Loyle for the last time during his son’s presidency. Bill fined Ed Duffy despite a “Get out of fine” card. Bill announced that he made budget for the year and was asked to continue on as finemaster under the reign of PE Bill Dudley.

Pat’s Joke involved life after death.

Program

Program Chair, P.E. Bill Dudley introduced Vineland Mayor Perry Barse. The mayor covered the Landis Avenue progress initiatives: A super Walmart will be built at the site of the old Two Guy’s building. A new $55 million school will consolidate Cunningham school and adult programs and will also house some school board offices. The East Landis/4-corners project is on time and the buildout will be completed by 2010. Five more parcels have been sold in the industrial park. Recent revisions to the Master Plan will eliminate about 11,000 new residential building lots in an effort to slow down residential development and congestion. Revisions to the Garden and Mill Roads intersection is currently on hold pending DOT approval. In an effort to address the illegal alien problem, Vineland is closing buildings that to not meet code. A first Soapbox Derby was held Saturday with 28 participants.
