Material: Coprolites or Pseudo coprolites,Agate, Jasper and petrified wood. Most pieces are quarter to fist size but some lager pieces can be found.
Tools and Methods: Search the gravel bars and banks for materials. Some digging and screening may produce better material. Wear clothes and shoes that you can wade in. Some people bring inner tubes or small rafts to float the the deeper parts of the river to get to less accessed gravel bars.
When: Late spring through fall. Anytime the water level is low enough to expose the gravel bars.
Accessibility: Well maintained gravel road (Any Vehicle). A good spot for all ages. Easier in late summer and Fall when water levels are low

A piece of agate from Salmon Creek
Site A - This site is located at the first bridge you cross on Salmon Creek Rd. Look in the gravel bars both up and down stream from this point. (upstream seems to have better gravel bars).

Site C - Just past the bridge at site B there is a faint road leading off the the left. Follow this road to its end (About 0.1 miles. At this point you are where the small side stream from site B enters Salmon Creek in a 30+ foot waterfall. There is a STEEP trail down to the river and good gravel bars to search.
