The Friends

The Friends of Whelden Library is an organization dedicated to supporting the trustees and library staff. The Friends endeavor to provide extra programs and services for West Barnstable residents and other users of our library. Over the years, they have provided the library with a copy machine, new carpeting, a circulation desk, air conditioning, new computer equipment, a new set of encyclopedias and many other items. Their winter daytime programs are a popular series, and they continue to participate in the West Barnstable Village Festival on the 3rd Saturday of August each year. Other annual fund raisers include a Holiday Bake Sale and their fall membership drive. Inquire at the library for more membership information if you would like to become involved with the Friends.

The Friends of Whelden Library hold a book sale one Saturday a month, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, from May to October.
