Oil immersed Kenotron,
7.5” (18.5 cms) long, 3” (7.5 cms)
diameter, dating probably to the sixties or early seventies. Note the peculiar shape of the glass body of the Kenotron, probably intended to increase the contact surface with the surrounding oil while keeping the Kenotron as compact as possible. Note also the metal dome of the
anode, exterior to the glass, in continuity with its cylindrical
part around the filament inside the Kenotron proper
