Strike Branding at The Gathering 2005
Photography by John Ireland

WARNING: The following photos depict a practice that should only be undertaken after proper instruction, practice and preparation.
This is an account of a very intense hour in the middle of a furious downpour that sent almost everyone else running for cover. What we did that day was always intended to leave a permanent mark both on the skin and in the minds of those who were there. All of us participated of our own free will and with a desire to be there and do these things. This is not a complete record, it only includes the photos that we judge best convey a sense of what we did that day. Beyond that, these photos speak for themselves.
