Welcome to our website!
Colorado Forest Management, LLC began in August of 2004 with a vision to write high quality forest management plans for private forest landowners.
Colorado Forest Management can help landowners by providing an easy to follow Forest Management Plan for their property, which meets the Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS) guidelines for stewardship plans. With a management plan landowners may be eligible for agricultural tax status on their forestland (minimum 40 contiguous forested acres ). They may also be eligible for various cost share assistance programs to help complete forest management activities.
Much of Colorado’s forests are at risk for large-scale catastrophic wildfires or large-scale insect and disease outbreaks. The CSFS has estimated that over 2 million acres of private land in Colorado are at risk. These private lands are in need of good stewardship to help avoid these large scale catastrophic wildfires while also improving forest health. The historic structure of Colorado’s montane forests has changed dramatically from a park like setting as seen in the Cheesman photo on your middle right, to a more dense structure as seen on the top and bottom right. Only proper management can return these forests to their historic range of variability.
Colorado Forest Management can provide you the tools and expertise to mange your land properly and effectively. We look forward to working with you soon.
