Looking Ahead

MCCB Welcomes
Jason and deMarco

With the international release of their latest album, "Till the End of Time," Jason & deMarco became familiar names to music fans around the world. Their first single "Trying to Get to You" climbed the Billboard Charts and their second single, "This is Love" won "Music Video of the Year 2006" on LOGO.

Since beginning their duo career in 2002,

Jason & deMarco have had the opportunity to perform at numerous high profile GLBT events including the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Awards in Los Angeles, the Matthew Shepard Foundation's annual gala in Denver, and the  2006  Human  Rights Campaign Gala at the Waldorf Astoria in New York. They have also been a part of the Human Rights Campaign star-studded benefit two-pack CD album celebrating marriage equality, "Love Rocks," alongside artists such as Christina Aguilera, Pink, and The Dixie Chicks.

Recently, the award-winning, full-length feature documentary film entitled "We're All Angels" premiered on SHOWTIME. The film follows Jason & deMarco over a two-year period, revealing their lives together professionally, personally and the obstacles they have faced in the music industry due to being an openly 'out' pop duo.

"We've had to work at clarifying that, although we are both gay and men of faith, our music is not religious, nor is it gay," says Jason. "Our music has a message, and if I had to call it anything, it would be 'empowering.' We want our music to empower all people to live meaningful and fulfilled lives, experiencing the rough patches as well as the beautiful moments. We believe our music speaks to everyone, not only people of one particular faith or sexual orientation."

COME WORSHIP WITH US

Sundays at 9:00 & 11:00 AM

Ministers: Our Members & Friends
Contact: The World
Lead Pastor: Rev. R. David Smith

The WIN Team helps newcomers feel welcome and connected to the community at MCCb. Our goal is to help people make friends quickly and feel like they are an essential part of the church community.

WIN Team members will work closely with the ushers and all ministry groups in the church, to help visitors get "plugged in" to ministries, activities and friendship groups that interest them. WIN Teams serve one Sunday per month, praying for newcomers and visitors, and making sure they feel loved and cared for.

Six people have already signed up to serve on WIN, but there's room for lots more! Three informal training/practice sessions will show you the basics. You do not need to be a long-time member of MCCb to serve on the WIN Team - newcomers welcome! For more information, contact Vanessa Johnson, 443-798-8121 or
