BERNADETTE CATHERINE VALLEY NASH 1917-2003
This is my first web page and what greater use than to create a pictoral tribute to my mom. This is a tribute to a woman who was not famous or known to many, except family and friends, but she was loved beyond reproach and is missed beyond what words can express
Bernadette was born in Troy Vermont on April 12, 1917. And she passed from this world one year ago- July 17, 2003 in Massachusetts.I cannot possibly share all the photos I have or the millions my sister has, but a small sampling here will dedicate itself to a simple tribute to a fine lady.
Time passes so quickly that we don't always pay attention to detail. I do not know all the names but I know the "family". Most of the people in the early photos passed before you and I know you missed them and loved the time spent with them. This is your grandmother (sitting) and your mother (far- right). The others are your Aunts that you shared many important "life experiences" with.
PHOTOS OF TIME GONE BY
ALBINA & HOMER
Your dad, Homer, passed before you were ready and you missed him all your life. Your mom. Albina, passed at 100 years old and you shared most of your life with her. Your children and grandchildren miss you the way you missed Homer. And we learned to love, cherish and respect you as you taught us by example, with your mother.
"Three Lovely Ladies"
The three sisters. Lou (the "oldest")Ann (the "baby") and Bernadette, my mom. (the "middle child"as are Becky and myself, we are proud to say)
"Three Young Ladies"
Bernadette, Lou and Ann. About 18 years later.
"The three Sisters"
Bernadette, Ann and Lou. This is about 70 years later
Bernadette, my mom, from Burlington to Newport
Bernadette Married Joseph Nash in 1937
You Married and were married for 62 years. He passed a few years before you and he took a piece of your heart with him. You often said how much you missed him. You loved this guy, this we know
You always called him "Bob" and no one knows why
Bernadette had 3 children who,each one, loved her dearly
Don, June and Nancy each one holds you very dear and misses you terribly, even after this one year has passed, and we will until the end of our days. We know what a great lady you were. We choose to believe that you are with all the many friends and family that passed before you, and that all is glorious and you rest in peace
And four grandchildren
Brendon the oldest, Eric, Rececca and Anthony.They had an "old fashioned" Grandma who baked cookies and shared every event and holiday and most days in between.They often say how "lucky" they were to have you in their lives
"Don't it always seem to go, you don't know what you got till it's gone"
Here are just a few of the things that will forever remind us of you
These are only the things I could find pictures for and do not include "Stop & Shop" "waffles" "Apple Pies" "Foxwoods" "hugs" "plastic plates" "long rides""Kenny Rogers and Hank Williams"(your favorite song "the gambler") "playing cards" "Memories" and most of all the words "I wish you lived close"..And everytime we get together someone thinks of another one
flowers
Your game
The mail
Your keys
TV Land
Hugs, holidays and each other
Your Last Christmas, if we only knew...But what a wonderful one it was

WE ONLY WONDER "DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH WE MISS YOU"?

WE MISS YOU THIS MUCH!
Success
He has achieved success
who has lived well,
laughed often, and loved much;
who has enjoyed the trust of
pure women,
the respect of intelligent men and
the love of little children;
who has filled his niche and accomplished his task;
who has left the world better than he found it
whether by an improved poppy,
a perfect poem or a rescued soul;
who has never lacked appreciation of Earth's beauty
or failed to express it;
who has always looked for the best in others and
given them the best he had;
whose life was an inspiration;
whose memory a benediction.
