Miranda's Favorites I have a lot of things that I enjoy so I thought I would make a list of favorites. I have included links and information on some of my favorites in case you want to check them out. This is not a complete list, but things that didn't hurt to share. Enjoy. Radio Shows This American Life - (http://www.thislife.org/) This is a great show that I listen to on Public Radio that looks at various themes on and in the American life and culture. The show is divided into four acts with stories or documentaries of people. The show is more like listening to a conversation rather than an interview. The stories related to the weekly theme generally leave me laughing or pondering the issues the weekly show has brought to my attention. Lastly, this show can be downloaded from their site via a podcast. Whad'ya Know? - (http://www.notmuch.com/) Another public radio show that includes a wacky quiz that everyone appears to win. The host generally helps people who play win the quiz. The host also answers miscellaneous questions from the studio audience. There is also a jazz portion of the show and the show highlights a American town weekly. Scott Paulsen on WDVE 102.5 - (http://www.scottpaulsen.com/scott/index.html) I have been listening to Scott ever since he was doing the morning show with Jim on WDVE in Pittsburgh. Scott retired several years ago but eventually came back to fill the evening spot from 6 to 10 pm. One of the best parts of his show is when he does a commentary or reflection on his past. This man can describe common life events in such a humorous tone, such as his cow tipping story. Scott offers a different type of humor that is not found from typical morning show men. His comedy is very creative, thought out, and more intelligent.
