PRIOR YEAR--THE SEEDING

Volunteers and students gathererd in November last year for the annual seeding event.

Many bags of seed had been collected. The seeds were sorted into three categories:

Dry mesic, mesic and wet mesic

Seed categories and species were listed.

Look at all those seeds.  This was just one of three batches that were mixed.  Then they were shoveled into bags and walked out into the Grassland where they were raked into just the perfect spots!

THE POT-POURRI

After hiking, seeding and raking all morning, volunteers gathered to celebrate and refresh with hot soups and other great food to share

What are these volunteers studying?

It's the "Work Your Butt Off" contest!  Who can match the faces on the right to the hard working butts on the left?

THE WINNER OF THE

Wannetta wins the silver metal bucket filled with a ham shank butt!!!

Out of 30 choices, she got 17!

Thanks to Suzanne and Pat for the fun game.
