2002-3 Escalade / 2001-2 Denali Cluster swap
With all of the information on the following forums regarding this swap with the new GM Full Size trucks,
I thought I'd share the information I have gathered.Where to buy one?
Do some comparison shopping here.
* Please confirm any part numbers BEFORE ordering. I have done everything I can to research the information below, but part numbers are changed by GM without notice.
Service Parts Operations (SPO) at 1-800-433-6961 Do you work for GM or EDS?
Note: I have noticed the prices at GM Parts Direct are the same as the employee discount price through SPO.
You could visit your local GM dealership and order one from there. I believe you would pay the full retail price going this way.

Technical Information
Many current generation (1999-present) Silverado/Sierra owners are performing this swap. So far, the only functionality problems being reported are on the 1999 and some early 2000 models. The airbag light is always on.
As of yet, nobody has reported swapping the Hummer H2 nor the new Cadillac Escalade ESV cluster.
Here is a website showing the cluster bulb mod. It shows how easy it is to remove the factory cluster. It has been reported in the above forums that the trans temp gauge will automatically start working. Apparently, the sending unit is already in place on the vehicle and the new cluster reads the class 2 data.
Note: The clusters mentioned above to NOT have the Wait To Start (WTS) lights required for diesel powered trucks.
The other concern is the vehicle mileage. You should consult your local dealership or speedometer service shop and have the mileage 'transferred' from your original cluster to the new cluster. Specmo (800-545-7910), a Detroit based shop, has recommended they have both clusters in hand to do the transfer. They charge $88.00 for the mileage set. You need a copy of your title and they will have you sign an odometer disclosure statement.
I have been told by Specmo that the vehicle mileage is stored in both the cluster and the vehicles computer.
Another option is to purchase the decal that goes in the door jamb of your vehicle. This is used by GM dealers when odometers are replaced. The part number is 10443718.
