Counted
Cross-stitch Scroll Frames by Patty Caldwell
|
Patty uses a scroll frame for her counted cross-stitch projects for the following reasons: 1. She can handle her work by gripping the wood of the frame and avoiding the possibility of getting skin oils on the cloth. 2. The scroll frame keeps the fabric taut and even to avoid distortion. 3. The scroll frame does not leave stretch marks on the material as do hoop frames. 4. She can fasten the scroll frame around her neck with a cord, thus allowing her to work more quickly using both hands. 5. She also makes a stand that slips under her leg to hold the scroll frame, which allows her to use both hands. 6.
She rolls the finished work surface of the material inside and avoids
exposure to staining her projects. |
