Rev. Marsha Martin's Family
Dr. Clarence Martin, Pastor Marsha, Jeff, Billy, Jennifer, Robert & Christine
... about me
I am happly married and have been blessed with a wonderful husband who is a true and faithful servant of the Lord. Together we have been through many trials. I know it has been our love for one another and the fact that God is the center of our life that has kept us together. Our late Blessing in Life, Christine, was dx with Autism at about 17 months old. God promised to heal her and manifest it in stages. He is faithful and continues to keep His promise to us. It is through her that God has shown me what compassion, patience and perservence is really about.
... my family
We both minister to families in need especially Godly counseling. He also serves on the Disability Services Board and many other community functions. Together we do many things to fight for children with disabilities everywhere. My Husband, Dr. Martin, has been in a battle with Brain Cancer. He went through surgery to have a tumor removed on April 5, 2005. Doctors said if he survived surgery, which they only gave him a 10% chance at best, would be in the hospital about 20 days. After only 2 days in ICU and 3 days in the step down unit the power of God began to become evident to many who doubted that he would come through like God promised. He was able to go home 4 days after this extensive and tramatic experience. The greatest blessing was him being able to fellowship with God's people, never missing a service. They were also able to witness another miracle. God continues to work a mighty work through him. He has given him a book to write and hopefully it will be out soon. The title is "The Beast Uncovered." Ask for it in your favorite Christian Book stores. The enemy would not like anything more than to take him out, but he does not have the final word... God does. So for now my husband continues the good fight until God says it's enough! At present we are claiming total healing for him and a new life as God continues to direct us in all we do.
... my work
My main ministry is being a Caregiver and Advocate for our daughter,Christine and my husband. Everything we have been able to accomplish for her has only happened through the wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit. God has provided all the resources necessary to fight for her. He has placed many earthly Angels in our pathway to help us in this battle. The first was Mrs. Bonnie Norvel and currently Pamela Martin, her teacher and now Sister-in-law, is one of the most important person that God is using to bring out the potential that God has hidden deep within her.
... my interests
We have a Christian network online when we have
time on mirc which is a chat server. My only
other interest is seeing that Christine's needs
are met and helping others in our Church family.
I also assist my husband in any way possible.
... my likes
I love helping people. I have a need to be totally alone when I go to God in serious prayer and study because interruptions are such a distraction to me. I became ordained by God in 2004 and ordaination under my husband June 2005, as a Minister in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
... my dislikes
Anything that is unpleasing to God. As a young woman I struggled with many things that only God could deliver me from. My greatest desire as a Woman of God is to help other women recogonize that beauty is within. It only becomes evident with a clean and pure heart.
... whatever else
We have raised 4 children who are all grown and moved on into their own lives. Jeff our oldest son has chosen to seperate himself from us to direct his own life in the ways of the world. I believe in the power of prayer and ask that you join with us as we take a stand to claim him back into the Household of Faith where he once was such a blessing to the Lord and a help to us as well. Billy our next son in line at this time in his life he is seeking to grow closer to God persuing a deeper understanding of the Word. Billy has a Calling on his life to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He and his wife have blessed us with two beautiful grandchildren that have been such a joy to us. It pleases us that they are actively involved in fellowship worship and training up their children in the ways of the Lord. Billy is currently answering the call that God has placed on him to Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ whereever God chooses to send him. This make me and his mom very proud of him and also very Thankful to God for using him.
Robert our youngest son is working hard to get himself established in life and we are thankful that he continues to include God and the church in his plans and is of great help to us in the ministry. Jennifer, our oldest daughter, has moved away and we pray for her and her walk with God every day. Christine of coarse, our baby is the love of our life after Jesus of course. I thank God for our marriage and happiness over the past 25 plus years and look forward to many more years together as we grow toward eternity together.
