Game #6

I am amazed at how fast the week goes by and I find out that it's Saturday and I haven't updated the web page. Good thing not too many people read this thing or I might be in trouble! Hey, if you didn't hear or weren't there, you missed one of the most exciting games I've been involved with as a Crusader. The game was back and forth with Community Church of East Gloucester, but the Crusaders took the lead and held it all the way through! We showed that our defense has become quite strong, as well as finding out that Nick Alsheimer has an arm like a cannon in left field! His throw went over everything, including the cutoff man, catcher and backstop. WOW!

The Crusaders also welcomed yet another new player to the fold. God has truly blessed us with people who are coming out to play and will hopefully continue to fellowship with the Crusaders when the season is over. Not all the fun can be had on the softball field! New player, Shanelle D'Alfonso brings the same excitement and exuberence to the field that Crusader fans have come to know and love. And hey..she can play as well! Bruce Grout showed he still has the stuff as Patrick Carr took a turn on the field to allow Bruce to pitch. The final score, by the way, was Crusaders 10 and CCEG either 6 or 7, depending on which scorebook you rely on! The standings and records were released by the league office and the Crusaders are in second place in our division.

These stats are also posted on the wall in Fellowship Hall.

This Sunday will feature a presentation by the Crusaders as we invite the church out to the Tailgate Party at CBD field on Monday, June 22. Bring your friends and family to enjoy the festivities!
