Herman's Factory Five Racing 65' Roadster Build Site

Welcome to my website, dedicated to the first step in a long and hopefully, enjoyable journey into building a replica of the world famous 427 S/C Cobra, similar to the artist phantom view above. It is this drawing, and seeing so many other examples on the internet and at car shows, that convinced me so many years ago, that I'd someday come to building or owning one.

I hope this site, like many before, will contribute to the collective knowledge on the trials and tribulations of building a replica component car such as the Factory Five Racing Roadster.

*EDIT* 4/6/06 - If you've been following my little adventure, you'll know that the 5 year plan is dead. It has been accelerated to a 3 years plan. To summarize, it's been 2.5 years since I declared the project started. On 4/14/06, the car goes in for paint. I will probably have a couple of months to make the "go-kart" road worthy; by mid summer, the car should officially be completed. Registration and plates will be in the fall most likely and that put's the completion of the project at 3 years. Stay tuned!

NOTE: The website will be undergoing some new revisions. With FFR4883 completed for the most part, I can now turn my attention to really working up the site the way I wanted to. While this version is simple (for the sake of space), I will be trying to learn new web techniques. Stay tuned.
