BATTLE RE-ENACTMENTS:
Usually held on the actual site (e.g.
the Battle of Monmouth), hundreds of re-enactors recreate the event as they
occurred.
HISTORIC ANNIVERSARIES:
Re-enactors set up an 18th century army
encampment and mock battle to commemorate an historic town's or site's founding
(e.g., the 220th Anniversary of Ft. Ontario.)
18th CENTURY WAR GAMES:
Exactly what you think they are - you're
out in the boondocks and it's us against them - all in the spirit of fun,
of course.
AUTHENTICITY WEEKENDS:
Once in a lifetime chances to live exactly
as the common soldier did under the same conditions ("Please pass the boiled
shoe"). It may sound grim, but it's great fun and an education you'll
get nowhere else.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
The Regiment does accept invitations for
extraordinary civic events such as forming the Honor Guard for the Colors
in the "Welcome Home" Parade for the Desert Storm troops in New York City.
FILMS & TELEVISION:
The Regiment has been involved in a number
of historical documentaries and films focusing on the lives of Revolutionary
War participants and historic events during the War.
