Jeffrey Jay Korman

... about me

I grew up in New York, went to college at Yale and graduate school at Northwestern. I live in Evanston, Illinois.

I have more than three decades of success helping organizations and individuals use information technology to improve their organizations' efficiency and effectiveness. I have been a director, consultant and professor working in the financial services, manufacturing, health care, education, and not-for-profit sectors.

I will eventually use my leadership, bridge-building, and group problem-solving skills and experience to serve the public.

... my family

Keshia, Noah, Maia and I live in a cranky old house with our cat (what you talkin' 'bout) Willis. We have also been blessed having two wonderful wards in our family, Ruka and Rafi, who are now in college.

... my work

I'm the Director of Systems Development for the Lab Improvement Program, at the College of American Pathologists, ensuring the quality of most pathology laboratories in the U.S. My role includes supporting leading pathologists efforts to advance the field of Informatics.

... my interests

Writing songs with my kids for our band, "Visible Stench." We have imagined many hit songs. I've enjoyed organizing and coaching basketball and soccer teams for my children and their friends.

... my likes

People who are trying to make the world more peaceful -- in big and little ways, every day.

... my dislikes

I have to go with Miss America on this: rude people. Oh yeah, I also don't like greedy, powerful sociopaths who work out their personal problems on the world stage and ruin things for the rest of us billions of people on this planet.

... whatever else

I'm working with old friends to pull together a 35th High School reunion for Edgemont.

Political/religious beliefs: We agree on most basic things. Let's get those things right, instead of fighting over the things on which we disagree.
