Samuel F. Du Pont Post, No. 2, at Wilmington, obtained its charter, and was mustered in on Saturday evening, February 14, 1880, in the McClary Building, by W. Scott Post; No. 114, of Philadelphia, of which Dr. Joseph Furgeson was commander. It was an interesting occasion to the veterans present, who were, that evening, formed into a Post with the following list of officers:
