One of the top twenty regional storytelling festivals in the U.S.
(Annette Simmons, The Story Factor: Secrets of Influence from the Art of Storytelling)
What an amazing weekend we had for the 13th Three Rivers Storytelling Festival! The weather was amazing, the stories ranged from heartwarming to hilarious, the workshops were entertaining and educational, and the food was yummy!
With so many changes this year we were a little unsure as to how the festival would turn out but not only did our long-time attendees find us at our new location but we also welcomed a large number of first-timers. Our new Liar's Contest was a huge success and the new Story Swap Open Mic was well attended out on the dock by the pond. Beth Horner, Bil Lepp and Randel McGee all kept us laughing and our local and regional tellers really shined. Though we had a few glitches along the way we can count this 13th and 1st festival for the inaugural festival committee an outstanding success!
