Walling Crew

No picture of the complete crew has been found to date. However, we do have a picture of the Pilot and Co-pilot, with two men from the Jacobson crew. The crew probably arrived at Harrington in mid-June of 1944, flying only four missions in July, and ended the active period with only 18 missions by mid-September of 1944.

Hamish 1E, Ivor 1, and Frederick 18 were in support of Jedburgh teams and
their Maquis.  Citronelle 6 was in support of the Inter-Allied mission
CITRONELLE. The Frederick 18 drop (Jedburgh Team DANIEL were the Joes)
was in error, they actually dropped to a gang of French youths who had
set up a bogus DZ, but the team managed to get in touch with Team Frederick
the next day.

Preferred Aircraft: B24D 42-40803 P

Originally a 389th BG plane, it was later lost to a hard landing at Harrington.
